1945 Mother Almeda Schricker (General Superior 1928-55) wrote in her circular that she had received at the Generalate in Munich a letter from Mother Commissary General, Mary Fidelis in the U.S., stating: "Our love and our prayers have been with you in these difficult days (World War II). May we ask how we can help? The hearts of your American daughters have been in loving concern with you and all our sisters in the Europe torn by war. No sacrifice will be too big for us, if we only can help you." Her last sentence in that letter: "Even if the whole world lets you down, we will remain faithful to you."
1957 The Wilton Province was established. (On December 31, 2005, it joined with the Provinces of Baltimore and Chicago to form the Atlantic-Midwest Province. In 2012, the Canadian Province was integrated into the Atlantic-Midwest Province.)
